On Wednesday September 10, 6 pm, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania will present Redoubt No. 1: British Forts in Philadelphia, Lecture and Show & Tell: "Come learn about the historic fort that sits on the footprint of the proposed SugarHouse casino site in Kensington. Robert A. Selig, PhD, historian and author, will speak on the British occupation of Philadelphia within the context of the American War for Independence. Dr. Selig will highlight documents from HSP's collection.  He will share the stories of the Queen's Rangers, a Loyalist military unit, who erected Redoubt No. 1."
