Mr. Russo will speak about New York City's use of innovative practices to integrate pedestrian and bicycle uses into the urban street.

Ryan Russo is the New York City Department of Transportation’s Director of Pedestrian and Bicycle Programs. He has been with the department since 2003 where he has overseen the design and implementation of numerous projects of a variety of types. Mr. Russo manages DOT’s Pedestrian Projects Group, Bicycle Program, School Safety Engineering Office, and Greenway Coordination unit. Prior to joining DOT, he opened the New York office of the transportation consulting firm, Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates.
