The Chinese have contributed to the United States by building railroads, and doing labor jobs for as long as this place was called United States. We also have helped build a very safe community and a very safe environment. Our culture should be recognized and celebrated just as all the other National and Ethnic Holidays, too. Black History Month is recognized and Jewish holidays are recognized. We should be too. Chinese New Year runs from February 7-9 and we see a lot of mixed ethnicities coming into China Town to celebrate with us with joy. Kimmel Center should hold Chinese Art and Cultural shows every year to open Philadelphia's diverse community eyes.

The city or council wants to put a damper on opening and educating the rest of the population to the Chinese Culture and History.
